We read every creative that seven weight-loss plans courting women over 40 ran on Meta from 8 September to 7 October 2026, more than 4,100 of them across 28 markets, and sorted them by promise and hook.

What this means if you advertise in this category

  • What everyone says: you will see the result, often by a date. A visible result is the main argument in 35% of the creatives, more than any other argument.

  • What almost nobody says: proof that it works. Only 6% argue with reviews or testimonials, and 5% show the plan working.

  • A test worth running: show the food she still gets to eat on the plan, not only the body she ends up with. Only 4% of the creatives play on the pleasure of food; Homemade Method is the outlier at 16% of its own: "What if you could lose weight while eating foods like this??"

Seven plans court one reader: a woman over 40 who wants the weight gone

Most sell a course or programme (61% of the creatives) and 31% an app.

Most promise a visible result, often by a date

Four brands make the result their main argument in about half of their creatives or more.

  • Lasta, 67%: "Get a VISIBLE body transformation in 28 days with Tai Chi Indoor Walking!"

  • Noom and Simple, 53% each.

  • Reverse Health, 47%: "28-day fasting challenge for women 40+."

Two sell an easier life instead

Both put the day-to-day ahead of the end result.

Homemade Method and WeightWatchers creatives side by side
  • Homemade Method sells comfort: relief and comfort lead in 45% of its creatives, against 24% overall.

  • WeightWatchers sells its tools: they lead in 18% of its creatives, against 12% overall, while a result leads in only 20%: "Enjoy food your way."

Some brands bet on one idea and others spread wide

Creatives that share one concept count as one idea, even when each is shot differently. Brands rarely copy each other's ideas, so there is no category formula to follow.

  • Lasta puts 53% of its creatives into one idea: creators promising a visible change in four weeks.

  • Noom puts 36% into one: posters asking how much you could lose, and by when.

  • WeightWatchers spreads its creatives wide; its biggest idea holds only 17%.

All of this is what Meta shows publicly, with no spend or results

It shows what these brands run, not what works.

  • Every creative running from 8 September to 7 October 2026 in 28 markets across Europe and the Americas, near copies included.

  • A market counts when a creative reached it, which is not the same as being targeted at it.
